While most people agree that action must be taken, opinions differ on who should bear the primary responsibility. Some believe that individuals must change their habits and lifestyles, while others argue that real progress can only be achieved through government regulation and corporate accountability. This essay will discuss both perspectives before concluding that protecting the environment requires cooperation between individuals, governments, and large companies alike.
